Red-throated Parrotfinch, Erythrura psittacea, is a passerine of the Estrildidae family that breeds in Australasia on Grande Terre and Ile des Pins in New Caledonia. It is associated with moist lowland forest and shrubland. Gmelin described the species in 1789. It is one of the parrotfinches placed in Erythrura, and no subspecies are recognised. The bird is known from New Caledonia, where its range is confined to those islands.
