Red-throated Piping Guan, Pipile cujubi, is a bird of the Cracidae family in north-central Brazil and Amazonia. It was described by Pelzeln in 1858. In its breeding range it occurs in nc Brazil and Amazonia. The species is placed in Galliformes and is one of the guans. It has two recognised subspecies. The nominate form is found south of the Amazon River in north-central Brazil, while P. c. nattereri occurs in western Amazonian Brazil and eastern Bolivia. It lives in lowland tropical and semi-deciduous forest, including taller forest.
