Regent Whistler, Pachycephala schlegelii, is a bird of montane New Guinea in the family Pachycephalidae. It is found in the highlands of New Guinea, where it lives in subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. The species is known to carry batrachotoxin in its plumage. Three subspecies are recognised: schlegelii in northwest New Guinea, cyclopum in north-central New Guinea, and obscurior from west-central to eastern New Guinea.
