Reischek's Parakeet, Cyanoramphus hochstetteri, lives on the Antipodes Islands south-east of Stewart Island in New Zealand, where it is confined to Antipodes Island. It is a small green parrot and shares that island with the larger Antipodes parakeet. The bird was first described by Reischek in 1889. Its name honours Andreas Reischek, who collected it in 1888. It was once treated as part of the red-crowned parakeet group, and later work also linked it with the Macquarie parakeet before that record was corrected.
