Restless Flycatcher

Myiagra inquieta

The Restless Flycatcher (Myiagra inquieta) is a small, insect-eating bird found in Australia and nearby islands. It is known for its restless and active behavior, constantly flitting from perch to perch in search of flying insects. This species is characterized by its striking black and white plumage, with a distinctive white eyebrow and underparts. Restless Flycatchers are commonly found in open woodlands, forests, and grasslands, where they use their sharp, whistling calls to communicate and defend their territories. They build cup-shaped nests using grass and bark, often in the fork of a tree. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential risks to their populations.
