Reunion Grey White-eye

Reunion Grey White-eye, Zosterops borbonicus, is a passerine of the white-eye family that breeds on Réunion in the Indian Ocean. It is found in woodlands, forests and gardens, and is the only bird endemic to Réunion that has adapted to man-made conditions. The species shows colour morphs ranging from grey to brown. Its tail coverts are strikingly white, and the body plumage is variable but always paler than that of the Réunion olive white-eye. Chestnut eyes and a very faint eye-ring are also characteristic.
