Reunion Ibis, Threskiornis solitarius, was an extinct ibis of Réunion in the Indian Ocean, within the Mascarenes. It belonged to the family Threskiornithidae and the order Pelecaniformes. The bird was confined to the island and is known from subfossil remains and old accounts. It was more solidly built than its living relatives, with a fairly short, straight bill, long neck and legs, and limited flight ability. Records also place it in mountain areas, where it was hunted and taken for food before it disappeared in the early 18th century.
