Alopochen kervazoi (Cowles, 1994)
Reunion Sheldgoose, Alopochen kervazoi, was a sheldgoose from Réunion in the family Anatidae and order Anseriformes. It is now extinct. It was closely related to the Egyptian goose and matched it in size. The only surviving description dates from 1674, written by Dubois, and the bird is also known from short reports and subfossil bones collected by Graham S. Cowles. Records suggest it was present on Réunion, in the Indian Ocean, and it probably disappeared during the 1690s.
