Ninox reyi

Reyes's owl (Ninox reyi) is a small to medium-sized owl native to the Philippines. It has a distinctive appearance with a rounded head, large dark eyes, and mottled brown and white plumage. This species is known for its haunting calls and is often found in dense forests and wooded areas, where it hunts for small mammals, birds, and insects. Reyes's owl is a nocturnal hunter, using its keen hearing and sharp talons to capture prey. Due to habitat loss and fragmentation, the conservation status of Ninox reyi is currently listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
