Ficedula riedeli
Riedel's flycatcher (Ficedula riedeli) is a small passerine bird found in the eastern Himalayas. It has a distinctive black and white plumage with a bright orange patch on its throat. This species is known for its agile and acrobatic flight as it hunts for insects in the dense undergrowth of its forest habitat. Riedel's flycatcher is a migratory bird, spending the breeding season in the high-altitude coniferous and mixed forests and then migrating to lower elevations during the winter. Its melodious song can often be heard echoing through the mountain valleys during the breeding season.
