Ring-billed Gull

Larus delawarensis

The Ring-billed Gull is a medium-sized gull with a white body, gray wings, and a distinctive black ring around its yellow bill. These gulls are commonly found in coastal areas, lakes, and rivers across North America. They are opportunistic feeders, scavenging for food in urban areas and preying on fish, insects, and small animals in their natural habitats. Ring-billed Gulls are known for their distinctive call and their impressive aerial acrobatics during courtship displays. They are adaptable birds, often seen in urban and suburban environments. Their populations are generally stable, although they face threats from habitat loss and pollution.
