Ringed Antpipit, Corythopis torquatus, is a passerine of Amazonia in South America and belongs to the Tyrannidae family. It was first named by Tschudi in 1844. The bird is tied to humid evergreen forest in the tropical zone, where it uses terra firme, seasonally flooded forest and swamp forest, and it also turns up less often in river-edge secondary growth. It is a year-round resident. The species is marked by the dark band across the breast that gives it its English name, and it is found in the Amazon and Orinoco basins.
