Rio de Janeiro Antbird, Cercomacra brasiliana, is a passerine antbird found in south-eastern Brazil. It was described by Hellmayr in 1905 and is endemic to the country. Its range runs from south-eastern Bahia through eastern Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo to Rio de Janeiro state. It lives in dense lower and middle forest growth, especially where vines form thick tangles, in secondary evergreen forest. The species is a year-round resident across its range. Its eggs are light brown with dark brown spots and flecks.
