Riverside Tyrant, Knipolegus orenocensis, is a passerine of the Tyrannidae family that breeds in Amazonia in South America. It was described by Berlepsch in 1884. The bird is tied to river margins and especially islands, where it uses open, scrubby ground in early stages of regrowth. Its range is split across parts of Colombia, Venezuela, eastern Amazonian Brazil, Ecuador, Peru and far south-eastern Colombia, with local movements linked to seasonal water levels. The species is placed in a three-subspecies arrangement, though its wider taxonomy remains unsettled.
