Arborophila rolli
Roll's Partridge (Arborophila rolli) is a medium-sized bird native to the montane forests of Vietnam. It is characterized by its brown plumage with intricate black and white markings, and a distinctive red bill. These partridges are known for their secretive nature, often foraging on the forest floor for seeds, fruits, and insects. They are monogamous and form strong pair bonds during the breeding season. Due to habitat loss and hunting, Roll's Partridge populations are declining, and they are classified as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
