Roraiman Nightjar, Setopagis whitelyi, is a nightjar found in the tepui region where southeastern Venezuela, southwestern Guyana and northern Brazil meet. It lives in open savanna, clearings and forest edges, and has been recorded from 850 m in Guyana up to 1,800 m in Venezuela. It is 21 to 22.4 cm long. The male has blackish-brown upperparts with cinnamon and greyish markings, while the female is browner. The tail, wings and underparts show pale bars and spots, with the female’s markings smaller and buffier.
