Rosy Starling, Pastor roseus, is a passerine in the starling family that breeds across south-eastern Europe to west-central Asia and spends the non-breeding season in India and Sri Lanka. It is the only species in its genus. In the breeding season, adults are strikingly marked, with a pink body, a glossy black head, wings and tail, and pale orange legs and bill. Males develop a longer head crest at that time, while females have a shorter crest and a less abrupt division between the pink and black plumage.
