Roviana Rail, Hypotaenidia rovianae, is a bird of the Western Province in the Solomon Islands. It is found in moist lowland forest, moist shrubland and plantations. This rail is medium sized and does not fly well, or may be almost unable to fly. It reaches about 30 cm in length. Breeding takes place in June, during the dry season, and the clutch contains two to three eggs. It has also been placed in the genus Hypotaenidia.
