Ruaha Chat, Myrmecocichla collaris, is a chat in the Muscicapidae family that breeds in western Tanzania, eastern Rwanda, Burundi, north Zambia and eastern DR Congo. It was described by Reichenow in 1882. The bird is linked with open woodland, especially miombo and mopane, and is also found in other lightly covered woodland. The form collaris has been treated as a separate species, and males of this form are said to be indistinguishable from the nominate, while females show different plumage.
