The Ruddy-capped Nightingale-Thrush is a medium-sized thrush found in the cloud forests of Central America. It has a ruddy brown cap and upperparts, with a white throat and belly. The wings and tail are a rich rufous color. This species forages on the forest floor for insects, small fruits, and seeds. Its melodious song can often be heard echoing through the misty cloud forests. The Ruddy-capped Nightingale-Thrush is an important seed disperser for many plant species in its habitat.
