Argya rufescens

The Rufous Babbler (Argya rufescens) is a small, social bird found in the forests and woodlands of Southeast Asia. It is known for its distinctive rufous-colored plumage and its melodious, varied song. These birds are often found in noisy, active groups, foraging for insects and small fruits in the undergrowth. They build cup-shaped nests in low shrubs or thickets, where they lay their eggs. The Rufous Babbler plays an important role in forest ecosystems by contributing to seed dispersal and insect control.
