Rufous-backed Inca Finch, Incaspiza personata, is a bird of the tanager family that breeds in Peru, where it is confined to the north-central Andes. It lives on dry mountain slopes in the upper Marañón valley and along the western side of the range, from Cajamarca south to Ancash and Huánuco. Its plumage is shared by both sexes and is marked by a grey head, a dark facial pattern, and rufous upperparts. It has a long tail, a slim pointed bill, and a black tail edged in white on the outer feathers.
