Rufous-bellied Eagle, Lophotriorchis kienerii, is a bird of prey of the Oriental Region and Australasia, ranging across southern and south-eastern Asia and also Sulawesi. It is tied mainly to hill forest. This eagle is notable for its striking pattern and for being relatively small among eagles, with a falcon-like look. It was once placed in Hieraaetus and has also been treated in Aquila, but it is now kept in its own genus. The species was described by de Sparre in 1835.
