Muscicapidae — Chats, Old World Flycatchers

Rufous-breasted Blue Flycatcher, Cyornis camarinensis, is a bird of the Philippines, breeding in south Luzon and Catanduanes. It belongs to the family Muscicapidae and lives in tropical moist lowland forest. The male is marked by the rufous breast that sets it apart from the blue-breasted blue flycatcher, from which it was once treated as part. It is one of the least documented birds in the country and remains poorly known. It was first photographed in the wild in March 2025, after a long gap without records.
