Rufous-breasted Flycatcher

This species is known for its distinctive call, a sharp 'peet-weet' often heard in the forest understory. Rufous-breasted Flycatchers forage for insects by gleaning from foliage and making short aerial sallies. They are typically found in humid montane and lowland forests, and are known to inhabit dense vegetation near streams and forest edges. The conservation status of this species is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
