The Rufous-capped Antshrike is a small bird species found in South America. It is known for its distinctive rufous-colored cap and greyish underparts. These birds are often found in the understory of tropical and subtropical forests, where they forage for insects and small invertebrates. They are known for their loud, repetitive calls that echo through the forest. The Rufous-capped Antshrike is a territorial species and often forms monogamous pairs. Their conservation status is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
