Rufous-capped Fulvetta

Fulvetta ruficapilla

The Rufous-capped Fulvetta is a small, lively bird found in the forests and scrublands of the eastern Himalayas and Southeast Asia. It has a distinctive rufous crown and a greyish-brown body with a white throat and belly. This species is known for its melodious calls and active foraging behavior, often seen in mixed-species flocks. It primarily feeds on insects and small invertebrates. The Rufous-capped Fulvetta builds its nest in dense vegetation and lays a clutch of 3-4 eggs. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential risks to its populations.
