Nonnula frontalis
The Rufous-capped Nunlet is a small, colorful bird found in the tropical forests of South America. It is known for its striking rufous cap and bright green upperparts. This species is often seen foraging for insects and small fruits in the mid to upper levels of the forest canopy. Rufous-capped Nunlets are known for their distinctive vocalizations, often heard in pairs or small groups. They are generally shy and elusive, making them a delight for birdwatchers lucky enough to spot them. Although not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation are potential concerns for the long-term survival of this species.
