Rufous Chatterer, Argya rubiginosa, is a bird of north-eastern and eastern Africa, recorded from Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. It belongs to the family Leiothrichidae and was described by Rüppell in 1845. Its natural home is dry savanna and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland. The species was once included in Turdoides, but a 2018 molecular study led to its transfer to Argya, the genus now used for it.
