Rufous-crowned Greenlet, Hylophilus poicilotis, is a passerine of the Vireonidae family that breeds in south-east South America, including eastern Paraguay, north-east Argentina and south-east Brazil. It is a resident bird of moist and humid forest, woodland, scrub and mature secondary growth. Its range in Brazil extends from southern Mato Grosso do Sul to Rio Grande do Sul, and it also occurs in Misiones Province in Argentina. Adults show a bright chestnut-brown forehead and crown, with olive-green upperparts and brighter green on the lower back and rump.
