Rufous-faced Warbler

Phylloscopus ruficapilla

The Rufous-faced Warbler (Phylloscopus ruficapilla) is a small, insectivorous bird found in the mountainous regions of East Asia. It is characterized by its olive-green upperparts, yellowish underparts, and a distinctive rufous face and crown. This species is known for its energetic foraging behavior, often seen flitting through the foliage in search of insects and larvae. The Rufous-faced Warbler prefers dense, mossy forests and thick undergrowth, where it can find ample food and nesting sites. Despite its relatively widespread distribution, its population trend is not well-documented, and more research is needed to assess its conservation status.
