Rufous Fantail
Rhipidura rufifrons
The Rufous Fantail (Rhipidura rufifrons) is a small passerine bird found in Australia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. It is known for its distinctive rufous coloration on the head, back, and tail, complemented by a white throat and underparts. This species is often observed foraging for insects in the understory of tropical and subtropical forests, where it flits and fans its tail to flush out prey. Rufous Fantails are known for their agile and acrobatic flight, making them a delight to watch in their natural habitat.
