Rufous Fieldwren, Calamanthus campestris, is a passerine of the Acanthizidae family that breeds in western, south-central and south-eastern Australia. It is a small ground-dwelling bird, and its plumage varies across subspecies, with the main forms differing in the tones of the upperparts and underparts and in the amount of streaking. The species is found in low shrub and heathland, and it is often seen singly or in pairs. Its tail is held upright even when it is moving along the ground.
