Myiarchus semirufus

The Rufous Flycatcher (Myiarchus semirufus) is a medium-sized bird found in Central and South America. It has a distinctive rufous crown and tail, with a grayish-olive back and wings. This flycatcher is known for its melodious and repetitive song, often heard in open woodlands and forest edges. It primarily feeds on insects, catching them in mid-air or from perches, and occasionally consumes berries. The Rufous Flycatcher builds cup-shaped nests in trees or shrubs, where it lays its eggs and raises its young. This species is not currently considered to be at risk, with stable populations across its range.
