Cyanoderma rufifrons (Hume, 1873)

Rufous-fronted Babbler, Cyanoderma rufifrons, is a babbler of the Oriental Region, breeding in the eastern Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand and northern Indochina, and extending south to the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Borneo. It belongs to the Timaliidae, the babbler family. The buff-chested babbler is now included within it. First described by Hume in 1873, it was originally placed in Stachyris before being moved to Cyanoderma. Nine subspecies are recognised, including forms from the eastern Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, the Malay Peninsula and Borneo.
