Garrulax rufifrons Lesson, RP, 1831
Rufous-fronted Laughingthrush, Garrulax rufifrons, is a passerine of the Leiothrichidae family found in montane western and central Java. It lives in evergreen tropical mountain forest at 900–2,400 m. The bird is marked by a strong rufous-red area above the bill against otherwise grey upperparts, and it has large light yellow eyes. It is recorded feeding on insects and fruit. It is associated with small family parties of five or six birds, and little is known about its breeding in the wild.
