Rufous-fronted Prinia

Prinia hodgsonii

The Rufous-fronted Prinia is a small passerine bird found in parts of Asia. It is characterized by its rufous forehead and white throat, with a brownish-olive upper body and pale underparts. This species is known for its melodious and repetitive song, often heard in open grasslands, scrublands, and agricultural areas. Rufous-fronted Prinias are typically observed foraging for insects and small invertebrates in low vegetation. They are known to be territorial during the breeding season, often engaging in aerial displays to defend their nesting sites. Although not currently considered at risk, habitat loss and degradation are potential threats to their populations.
