Phacellodomus rufifrons

The Rufous-fronted Thornbird is a medium-sized bird found in South America. It is known for its distinctive rufous-colored forehead and throat, contrasting with a grayish-brown back and wings. This species is often found in open woodland, scrubland, and forest edges, where it builds intricate dome-shaped nests from twigs and grass. The Rufous-fronted Thornbird is a vocal bird, often heard emitting a series of loud, melodious calls. It forages for insects and small invertebrates in the undergrowth, using its long, curved bill to probe and capture prey.
