Rufous-headed Robin

The Rufous-headed Robin is a small, insectivorous bird found in the montane forests of New Guinea. It has a striking appearance, with a rufous head, black upperparts, and a white belly. This species is known for its melodious song, often heard during the breeding season. It forages on the forest floor, hopping and flitting among the leaf litter in search of insects and small invertebrates. The Rufous-headed Robin is known for its elusive nature, often remaining hidden within the dense vegetation of its habitat. Due to its restricted range and habitat loss, this species is considered vulnerable to extinction.
