The Rufous-headed Robin (Moupinia poecilotis) is a small passerine bird found in the mountainous regions of central and eastern China. It is characterized by its striking rufous head, white throat, and olive-brown upperparts. This species is known for its melodious song and agile foraging behavior, often seen hopping along the forest floor in search of insects and small invertebrates. The Rufous-headed Robin prefers dense undergrowth and mixed forests, where it can find suitable cover and nesting sites. While not currently classified by the IUCN, its population may be at risk due to habitat loss and degradation.
