Rufous-naped Lark Corypha africana is a widespread breeding bird across Africa, belonging to the lark family. It occurs in lightly wooded grasslands, open savannas and farmland. Its most notable features are the consistently rufous outer wings and a short crest that can be raised. The rest of its plumage varies from bird to bird and from place to place. It has a bill with a straight lower mandible and a longer, curved upper mandible. Males are known for a repeated wing-fluttering display from a high perch.
