The Rufous-necked hornbill is a medium-sized bird found in the forests of Southeast Asia. It is known for its striking appearance, with a black body, white belly, and a distinctive rufous-colored neck. This hornbill species is characterized by its large, down-curved bill and a prominent casque on top of the bill. It is a frugivorous bird, feeding primarily on fruits, but also consumes insects and small animals. The Rufous-necked hornbill plays a vital role in seed dispersal and forest regeneration.
