Rufous Sibia, Heterophasia capistrata, is a bird of the Himalayas in the Oriental Region and belongs to the family Leiothrichidae. It occurs in India, Nepal and Bhutan, where it lives in temperate forests of the Lower to Middle Himalayas. Its most striking feature is its rufous-dominated plumage with a black head, and it is often seen with the crest raised. It is also known as a vigorous, melodious singer. The species was described by Vigors in 1831.
