Rufous-sided Honeyeater, Ptiloprora erythropleura, is a honeyeater of montane Bird's Head and Neck in north-west New Guinea and west-central New Guinea. It was described by Salvadori in 1876. It belongs to the family Meliphagidae and the order Passeriformes. This bird is found in moist montane forest. It is also known from West Papua, Indonesia, and there are two recognised subspecies.
