Rufous-tailed Antwren

The Rufous-tailed Antwren (Drymophila devillei) is a small passerine bird found in the tropical forests of South America. This species is known for its distinctive rufous tail and blackish upperparts, with males displaying a white throat and females having a buffy throat. Rufous-tailed Antwrens forage in the understory and midstory of humid forests, often in mixed-species flocks, searching for insects and small invertebrates. They are known for their high-pitched vocalizations and agile movements as they navigate through dense vegetation. This species is typically found in lowland and foothill forests, but can also occur in secondary growth and forest edges.
