Rufous-tailed Babbler, Moupinia poecilotis, is a passerine of the family Paradoxornithidae and breeds in central China. It is confined to that part of China and is part of the group commonly called parrotbills and allies. The species was described by Verreaux, J, in 1871. It was once placed with the sylviid warblers, but is now treated in a different family. The genus Moupinia was established in 1877 by the French ornithologists Armand David and Émile Oustalet.
