Rufous-tailed Palm Thrush, Cichladusa ruficauda, is a passerine of the Muscicapidae family that breeds from the southern Central African Republic to northern Namibia. It was described by Hartlaub in 1857. It is found in palms, dry woodland and secondary forest, especially in riparian and coastal areas, and also in banana plantations and gardens. The species is monotypic. Its range also includes Angola, the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. It occurs at elevations of up to 1,200 m.
