Rufous-tailed Robin, Larvivora sibilans, is a passerine of the Muscicapidae family that breeds across central to south-east Russia, north-east China and northern Japan, and spends the non-breeding season in south-east Asia. It was first described by Swinhoe in 1863. A migrant of forests, it is associated with coniferous woodland and damp broad-leaved stands with fallen timber and dense cover, and in winter it also uses forests, scattered trees, scrub, parks and gardens. It is best recognised by its bright rufous rump and tail, with greyish-brown upperparts and pale underparts.
