Rufous-throated Dipper, Cinclus schulzii, is a bird of rocky mountain streams and rivers in north-west Argentina and south-east Bolivia. It was described by Cabanis in 1882. This South American dipper is found along fast-flowing water on the eastern side of the Andes, usually where cliffs or stony banks frame cascades and falls. It is a resident bird, though it makes some upslope and downslope movements in cold weather. Its throat and upper breast are orange-rufous, which sets it apart from the rest of its plumage.
