Rufous-vented Grass Babbler, Laticilla burnesii, is a passerine of the Ground Babblers family that breeds in Pakistan, north-west India and Nepal. It lives in long grasslands, including stands of Saccharum, elephant grass and ekra grass, and also in reedbeds, desert patches with tall grass, and places near large rivers, tributaries and swamps. Its most striking feature is the bright rufous or chestnut on the undertail coverts. Adults also show a white eye-ring, whitish lores, dark-streaked cheeks, a buff collar on the nape and upper back, and a long, strongly graduated tail.
